Creating a Timeline chart for people's lives

Hello everyone,

I would like to create a chart showing years on the X-axis (in this case, from 1750 to 1900), then having a rectangle appear for the life-duration of composers I am preparing a conference about.

Here is the table with the data:

The middle column labelled School will serve to place another mark for when these people created something specific in their lives.

I am aware that I can create this manually by drawing rectangles and giving them sizes that are proportional to their life-duration, but I wonder if there is something automatic in the chart feature that I am missing.

I tried all the different kinds of charts but no one seemed to answer to my needs.

Is there anything that could be done to achieve that?
