Greek is not currently supported for translation

There used to be support for Greek translation. For some reason, after an upgrade, it was removed (as were many other languages). Does anybody know why did this happen and how can we get it back?

I don't remember Greek ever being supported by Apple's Translate app so far . The current list is at

macOS - Feature Availability - Apple

Perhaps you were using Google Translate or another 3rd party app?

To ask Apple to add Greek, you can use

Yes, I am in Greece.

The fact that Greek is missing is annoying but add to it the fact that Turkish is included and it's insulting.

I hope they fix their error.

Are you in Greece? I think sometimes in the past machines sold there have included extra software. Ventura added Turkish, Thai, Vietnamese, Polish, Indonesian, and Dutch to the translation list, but not Greek. I see quite a few complaints in the forums in recent years about Apple's failure to support Greek translation.

It was actually included.

I had also created a shortcut to translate to-from greek.

Unfortunately I have no relevant screenshot - why should I? :)

Anyway, I did ask Apple to add Greek.
