Printer compatibility

I was using a Brother MFC-L2700DW printer with my 2017 MacBook Pro. I just purchased a MacBookAir with M2 chip. It doesn't connect with my printer. Is the Air compatible with my printer? How can I get the printer and its scanning function operational?

It should work with no issues.

Brother recommends using AirPrint for printing and iPrint&Scan for scanning. You can download their excellent iPrint&Scan app from the Mac App Store (Apple menu > App Store).
