No sleep since getting Air Tags

My husband and I each have a small dog. We recently purchased special collars for them, and now they each have an Air Tag. My dog's air tag is connected to my phone; my husband's dog's air tag is connected to his phone. We sleep together: same room, same bed. The dogs sleep with us: same room, same bed. We also each charge our phones on our nightstands right next to our bed every night. For some reason, we are hearing random beeping that wakes us up, usually in the 3am vicinity. I don't think it's one of our phones because neither of us finds any notifications in the morning. Is it one of the air tags? But why? We're all together, so it seems odd that anything should be beeping at this point in time. It stops on its own after beeping a few times -- we just wait it out and try to go back to sleep. We are EXHAUSTED. This happens on a fairly regular basis. I'm ready to return these things.

It may be the tags swing an unknown tag “moving” with the other. Basically, an anti-tracking feature. Are all the tags set up with trusted locations? That may help.

Yes, we have them set to our "home" location, which is also the home location in our Apple Maps app. Our address is in the "Find My" app, and it shows the dogs are there whenever we look before bed. So you think the two tags are setting off each other? I get the feeling these trackers are all part of a "network," so to speak. For example, when my son takes the dogs to the park, though they are attached to my phone & my husband's phone, he'll get an alert saying an air tag is near him, and he can see the route the dogs walked with him. What is the purpose of that feature? If my dog gets loose I can walk around asking folks if they've detected her tracker?
