Confused about my cable as it has the print of “Assembled in India”

“Assembled in India” is written on my cable but on apple’s official site it says that An Apple Lightning to USB cable has "Designed by Apple in California" and either "Assembled in China," "Assembled in Vietnam," or "Indústria Brasileira" on the cable about seven inches from the USB connector.

Is my cable original or it is fake?

Hello,

It appears to be a genuine Apple cable, it is possible that the documentation has not yet been updated to include India. If you would like, you can contact Apple Support and get their opinion.

Thanks for reaching out!

I also faced the same issue with my iPhone 13 (India). After one week, the cable stopped working, and when I visited an Apple authorized support center, they informed me that the cable was fake and not covered under warranty.

I request Apple Support to assist users with this issue. Either the service centers need to be updated, or there needs to be an investigation into how a fake cable could end up in an iPhone box.
