Apple tv gen 2 log in not working

I have tried to log into icloud on my gen 2 apple tv using my password plus a code I got on my iphone (which was just refreshed) and in doing so I got passed the “you password is incorrect” screen but instead I now have a screen with the error” Photostream is not set up for this apple account” … why that message? Why at this point? And how do I resolve the issue?
