MacBook battery symbol goes from not charging to charging in a second

hello, my MacBook Air 2022 13”battery symbol when I plug in the charger goes from the plug symbol to the charging (bolt) symbol in a second or two. Is this normal? Shouldn’t it go straight to the lightning bolt symbol? Could it be due to the outlet, because I’m using a different one where there are switches on the walls that control the outlets being on or off

"I’m staying at my sisters apartment. At home it wasn’t like this. My niece did push it off the bed from like 1.5 ft but is that enough for it so be a hardware issue? It was on carpet and d didn’t hit the ground too hard. A couple of times it did go straight to the charging/bolt symbol though. Also there was a problem with lamp and the outlet. So that’s why I was thinking it was the outlet"

Single Out this Wall Outlet:

Do you get this error in any other wall outlet? If not, then it is the power outlet, and you shout get it serviced. If so, then it is a poor issue with the Mac, and you need to get the serviced. Set up a Genius Bar Appointment at your local Apple Store, bringing a proof of purchase with you.

Reset the Fuse, Or Contact an Electrician:

If you know of the fuse in the fuse panel, then turn it off, then back on. If you are uncertain in this in any manor, then have an electrical or the utilities company come to your house. If an apartment, then speak with the land lord. Seems to me to be a power spur or power shake, which is what a surge protector is all about. So, consider plugging this in to a surge protect to voice these two issues: (A)Power Spur and (B)Power Surge.

Troubleshooting a Jumping Mac Charge:

No. Thesis not normal. Yes, it should go right to the lighnnigbolt symbol. If would be the switch, only if it is hitched to off. You are getting power, so obviously it is on. Any recent power outages? If so, check your fuse box in your home.

I guess it is the apartments outlets then? And yea I’ll try to keep you updated. Thank you for all your help. I greatly appreciate it!"
