Whenever I try changing my profile picture, it never works because when I close settings or my computer it always goes back to my old one. I've updated my computer and tried restarting several times, has anyone else ever encountered this problem or is it just me?

So sorry, I didn't quite understand. I try changing the picture like that, but it doesn't work. I press save however when I close my computer it automatically switches back to my old picture. Perhaps it's my computers problem?
Is this affecting system operations in any way?
