Important emails

Is there a way to create a folder in the Apple mail app where I can transfer emails into it and still be able to view them on my phone? The “Important” folder that is offered under Gmail is only accessible through the Gmail app or website. I prefer Apple mail’s design though. But anytime I try to create a similar folder, the only options are under Gmail and then once I create that folder, it disappears on my Apple Mail

Try this:

Tap and hold on an email message.

At the bottom you will see 'Mark'.

Gently slide that screen up.

Then tap on 'Mark'.

Then tap on 'Flag'.

Those email messages with a Flag are automatically saved in a folder, namely Flagged (messages).
