why is my iphone xs overheating?

It gets too hot when I use some apps like tik tok and sbspchats and when it gets hot, the battery runs down, and then it dies.🥹

You might notice that your device feels warmer when you:

  • Use graphics-intensive or processor-intensive apps, games, or features, including augmented-reality apps
  • Stream high-quality video

These conditions are normal, and your device will return to a regular temperature when the process is complete or when you finish your activity. If your device doesn't display a temperature warning, you can keep using your device. See If your iPhone or iPad gets too hot or too cold - Apple Support.

Hello. I appreciate the steps you are stating to take. However, this doesn’t work for mine. I have the same model, but my phone gets hot regardless, even when I’m not on the phone. I could sit it down for hours (all background apps closed) and it still overheats. I went through my insurance protection and they replaced it and nothing changed. I don’t know if this is an attempt to get people to upgrade, but with service providers that charge you a lot to upgrade, it’s not worth it. I used to be an Android user until their phone overheated, but it seems maybe I should go back to them because I can’t have a phone that I can’t use. These steps don’t work for mine and from what I see, other iPhone models are overheating as well and I know it’s not apps on my phone.
