My MacBook Pro has started to close with the slightest movement of the lid. I can close it completely and log back in but can never make the slightest adjustment to viewing angle.
I have opened it in safe mode but no change.
I downloaded Etrecheck and ran that. That report is attached. Any help appreciated.

You seem to be saying "close" means "sleep" ... is that correct? Or by "closes" do you mean shuts down completely?
Sounds like the screen cable is worn and/or defective. That will require an examination by Apple.

Next step would be for Apple to evaluate it.
With "sleep" if a hit keys it will wake up. When I move the lid a little, it goes dark and will not wake up unless I close the lid completely, when I reopen it is at the screen to unlock. Not a complete shut down but not just sleep status where a key toggle wakes it up.

I ran the Apple hardware diagnostics twice and no issues were found.
