The App Store shows that the YouTube app needs to be updated. I tap update, it starts trying the update, and a few seconds later, it reverts to seeing the app, needs to be updated, with the update button activated.
I have closed and restarted the App Store, I have rebooted the iPad, and I’m still seeing the same results.
iPad mini (5th generation)
Check the network connection:
You need to have a good Wi-Fi.
If they are On, turn Off Hotspot & VPN.
Charge the battery > 70%.
If you can't connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, or other Apple services
If you can't connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, or other Apple services - Apple Support

Thanks. It finally allowed me to update it. I did have a good network connection and it is plugged in. I guess it was just something in the App Store. Didn’t want to let me get the update at that time.
