USB hub not working on mac studio M2 Max

my computer restarts when idle and when woken from sleep displays "drives not ejected properly" This only happen when I'm using the hub. Anyone have similar experience?

Mac Studio, macOS 13.5

Is it a self powered hub? There's conjecture that drives connected to non-self powered hubs draw too much current when coming out of sleep mode and kicks them off.

If it is a non-self powered hub getting one. Probably the best source for them is OWC (MacSales.com). If you're interested call their customer support and see which of many they can recommend that will need your workflow and budget requirements.

Hubs, like any third party hardware vary greatly in quality and compatibility with macOS. Consider buying a higher quality hub that advertises Mac compatibility.
