Feature Request: Intercom Automation Action in iOS Home

I have recently switched from Alexa powered speakers to HomePods. Overall, I am very happy with the improvement in sound quality and Siri’s capabilities, plus the huge benefit of Apple’s dedication to privacy, but I really miss being able to automate announcements over all the speakers in my home. I have various sensors and devices from Home Assistant imported into my Home app. All are responsive and can be used for automations. I can program my HomePods to play audio when a sensor turns on but it will interrupt any music I have playing and that music will not resume. The recently introduced intercom feature seems to resolve this but it can only be used with manual intervention. I have seen this feature requested in various user forums and I believe by adding the intercom action to the Home app, it would be a huge leap forward for a Siri powered smart home. Thank you
