Hello Travelerspay,
Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. Our recommendation that can help is to temporarily turn off Calendar for the affected account that you're using for the Calendar app. If you're using iCloud, you can go to Settings > Calendar > Accounts > iCloud > iCloud > Show All > Calendar.
For a third party account with Calendar you can go to Settings > Calendar > select your account > turn off Calendar.
Then, restart your iPhone and turn on Calendar for the affected account and see if you can search for your past events in the Calendar app. Following these steps may help.
Kind regards.

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve it:
1. Restart Your iPhone: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix minor glitches.
2. Check Calendar Settings:
- Go to Settings > Calendar > Sync.
- Make sure you have selected All Events to sync.
3. Reset Sync Data:
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone (if you have an Apple Watch).
- Go to General > Reset > Reset Sync Data. This will re-sync your calendar.
4. Re-add Calendar Accounts:
- Go to Settings > Calendar > Accounts.
- Select the account you use for your calendar (e.g., iCloud, Google).
- Remove the account, then add it back.
5. Update to the Latest iOS Version: Apple frequently releases updates that include bug fixes. Ensure your iPhone is running the latest iOS version.
6. Report the Issue to Apple: If none of the above steps work, consider reporting the problem to Apple Support. They may provide a solution or release a fix in a future update.
If the problem persists, it might be a bug that Apple needs to address in an upcoming update. In the meantime, you might try using a third-party calendar app as a temporary workaround.
The solution fixed that problem. However, I updated to 16.6.1, and now the calendar will only allow one alert instead of two.
I did like you advise, first all calendar disappear, but after a few min it starts work correct! Thank you
