Hi, I am trying to 'clear' the ipad that I gave my late Mother to use so that I may use it again myself. I have had an email from apple saying that they have approved my request for Find My Device unlock, but I still cannot seem to do anything with it. It asks for her Apple password, which I do not have.
I would be grateful for any ideas.

With Apple having removed the associated Activation Lock, you should be able to perform a Factory Restore - after which you can setup the iPad as new, without being challenged for your late Mother's AppleID credentials.

Have you have performed the Factory Restore process, using a Windows PC (with iTunes installed) or a Mac computer (with iTunes or Finder - as appropriate for the installed version of macOS) as suggested?
Borrow access to a computer from a friend/relative/co-worker.
Or go to an Apple Store. Some libraries also offer computer access.
Thanks. The problem is though that when I switch it on it still asks for her apple ID and password, which I do not have. I sent them the proof that I paid for it, but still it asks for this. ANy ideas? Thank you
No, I have only my laptop, but it is not possible to add itunes (not permitted by work). Sorry, I know that I am making this complicated!
