I just got my Beats Studio buds and they won’t connect to my iPhone 13

I just got my Beats Studio buds and it won’t connect to my iPhone 13. I get the instructions on my phone first asking me to connect then telling me to hold the button for five seconds, and I’ve done that and the light keeps turning off without connecting to my phone. What should I do/what can be done?

Did you purchase these Beats earbuds directly from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller? ... or from another third-party source? This message could mean that these are used earbuds or that they are defective. If you just purchased them from Apple, you have 14 days, from the date of purchase, to return them for either a full refund or a replacement set.
