How can I restore a project from the file system

I see a project in a library when I "Show Package Contents." However inside the final cut pro UI the project does not appear. Is there a way to "restore" the project from the file system?

No guarantee that this will work, but sometimes deleting the CurrentVersion.flexolibrary can help.

Quit FCP, do Show Package Contents and drag the flexolibrary out of the package. I’d do this on a copy of the library. Then double click to open; FCP will try to rebuild the flexolibrary database from the contents.

Thank you both.

Luis -I saw some of your other posts with the techniques you suggested. It did not restore the project.

Tom-Here is the screenshot. New info: Notice that the projects (example in red) appears in Smart collections. However when I go below it to Medallia Testimonials, where the project were, only the clips are there and no projects are seen.

When you open each event in the library, none of them have the missing projects. Edits to the projects are possible from Smart collections, but it seems silly to not have them in their event. Is there a way to see the event that a selected project thinks it resides in?

I just tried using the clipboard to copy the project from smart collections and paste it in the event it belongs, but nothing happens.

When you double click the project in Smart Collections it opens. I can edit the project. I just cannot seem to get the project into an event.

The list view is interesting. I right click in the header, go to edit available columns. However in that very long list I do not see Event listed. Is it called something different?

Thank you for all the help, Tom.

I'm probably not understanding the interface, Tom. I see a column called Name on the left. I think that is what you are referring to. To answer your question. I was expecting one of the attributes of a product to be the event that it is in. That is why I was reviewing the columns that is availible.

My goal is to find the event that a project is in, when viewed in a Smart Collection. I cannot figure out how to do that.
