Projects from Final Cut Pro X

I am wondering if there is an option to save an existing Project from Final Cut Pro to an external HDD, delete it in the Final Cut Pro program and later, if necessary, open the same project again in the Final Cut Pro program and change it?

Mac Studio, macOS 14.1

Projects in FCP must be inside a library. You can copy a project into a new library and save the library to an external drive. You just need to be careful about the media for the project, where it’s stored and how it’s linked. If the media is inside the library bundle copying the project to a new library will copy over the media used in the project into the library. If the media is external it won’t be copied and will have to be relinked when the library is on the external drive.
