repeating event option missing from iCal

Like others in the past, I'm missing the repeating event option in iCal on both my iPhone and macbook pro. Macbook Pro is running Ventura 13.5. I've followed all the Help options I can find in Apple Help and the Community. None of them help.

Apple Support, please advise and address this prevalent, recurring problem with an updated Help entry.

Thank you

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.6

Hi there Azuraires343,

We see you need help with creating calendar events that repeat on your devices. Since you aren't able to see the option on either your iPhone or Mac, the next step will be to see if you can through the iCloud website. This helps narrow down the issue a bit more.

Add and edit an event in a calendar on iCloud.com

Create an event
1. In Calendar on iCloud.com, click + in the bottom-right corner.
- Tip: To create an event from the iCloud.com homepage, click + in the corner of the Calendar tile. To create a new event from anywhere on iCloud.com, click + in the toolbar, then click Calendar Event.
2. Type a name and location for the event, then do any of the following:
- Make the event a repeating event: Click the “repeat” pop-up menu, then choose an option.
You can also add attachmentsinvite other people, and set an alert.
3. Click OK.

If you still aren't able to create repeating events in your iCloud Calendar, the next best step will be to reach out to Apple Support directly for more troubleshooting. You can reach them here: Get Support

You can also find the support phone number for your region at this link: Contact Apple for support and service

Take care.
