I'm being tracked with an AirTag and I can't find it

Help! I'm being tracked by an airtag. I was notified but when I hit the sound it doesn't make the sound. I can't find the thing anywhere. I downloaded all the other apps and it's still tracking me. I have no way to disable it. I'm an android user, so the apps I have available aren't the best.

It is possible that the owner of this AirTag disabled its speaker. In that case, it will not as you can imagine, make a sound when you try. This may be the latest stage in which a nefarious individual can try using an AirTag to track/stalk someone.

Unless you can physically find it, it will continue to send out its location information ... but it requires an iPhone to relay that information to the Internet, and then, to the Apple servers so that they can see it in the Find My app on their phone.

It actually doesn't matter if you have an Android or iPhone in order to locate or disable this AirTag ... but AFAIK, an Android phone does not participate in the Apple's Find My Network that the AirTag will need to send its info to.
