Notification frequently appears on MacBookAir
I go into updates, and there is noting to update! It started appearing about 6 weeks ago.
Would anybody know what this is please.

That link should take you directly to his proposed solution. I have not experienced what you described so I am unable to confirm its accuracy, but it seems reasonable and harmless enough to try.
Thank you for your reply. I own my own MacBook Air. The message appeared again just now. Here is a screenshot after I went into updates. As you see it said Mac is up to date.
Is yours a MacBook Air owned (therefore managed) by your employer? Could be one of their updates that's not coming thru.
