MacBook Pro Battery charger blinking amber

Charger doesn't charge, just blinks on/off amber every second while the battery power dwindles. I have a second charger, which is working fine, so I don't suspect it's not the MacBookPro's battery, rather something defective about the charger. Chargers and laptop purchased new from Apple 8 months ago.
