MACBOOK AIR M1 (APPLE SILICON)

My MacBook Air m1 2020 has just been having this weird problem since one the macOS Ventura updates. The problem is that my keyboard and trackpad just freezes when I close the lid or when the laptop goes to sleep. And its very strange as it as been working fine before. I have done everything I have seen online to fix it but nothing works. but one thing I noticed was that when I reset the MacBook the issue went away for a few days and then came back, so I am pretty sure its a software issue. So PLEASE can Apple look into it and maybe send an update to fix this issue, because I see its affecting a lot of users but no good solution has been given to us

I too have Both the M1 and M2 MBA and do not experience any type of issue like with your computer

If the user is that concerned with their specific computer >>

To avoid the question / answer and question answer scenario

Suggest the User start with Points 1 to 4 and then Test

Still having issues, move onto Steps 5 and 6 and Test Again

Still no resolve - move onto Step 7 and follow instructions therein

1 - Restart in Safe Mode. This will perform a Disk Repair, clear cache files and only load Apple Software, extensions and fonts. The boot up will be slow and can take some time - Normal.

2 - Safe Mode will also eliminate Third Party Software, extensions and drivers from loading. It will only load the Minimum amount of Core Apple Processes to allow the the computer to function at a reduced Level of Performance

3 - Does the issue present in this mode ?

4 - Sometimes a Safe Boot followed by a Normal Boot will just put things right.

5 - If not - there could be something in the main User Account playing up. To further isolate this - Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac. Then log out of the Main User account and log into the dummy account and test again if the issue persists.

6 - If the issue is present in the dummy account - then, this appears to be a System Wide issue on the computer.

7 - Download the Application Etrecheck directly from the Developer.

This is a Diagnostic Tool that makes no changes to the computer.

It makes a coherent and readable inventory of both the Hardware and Software used on the computer

The application is free or paid from added features.

How was the computer reset ?

Once reset was done, did the user( you ) use Setup Assist on the First Reboot into the newly installed version of Ventura 13.5.1 ?

Was Migration used to bring back all your data, applications and such back into the pristine and virginal installation of Ventura 13.5.1.

Issues that may have existed when the Time Machine Backups was made, would be migrated to the New Installation.

Thereby negating the Reset

FYI - on 1 M1 and 1 M2 Apple Silicon Laptop computers, do not experience any of your above issues

Otherwise, follow previous advise

After the reset I basically started at fresh by creating a new user and so on. no Time Machine was used so that answers that.

And fyi over 600 people have had this issue especially with the m1 MacBook Air that I am using. so I don't know which laptop you are using to be saying that.

anyways if you have a working solution for me it would be nice of you to share
