Using Custom Domain with iCloud Mail

I have set up my custom domain in icloud and it works fine. However I want to add my wife's email to the plan with her custom domain. I have added her to use the custom domain, and it works, but all the mail comes to ME, not her. I did not click the "catch all" option either. I have talked with apple support people who have passed it off to upper level support people, and they all seem to come back to the same answer - go to icloud and 'add' my wife. I've already done that!! Whenever she goes to add the custom domain to HER icloud account, it will not let her saying the domain is already in use - of course it is! I'm the one who set it up. If anyone has anything new I can try please let me know. I'm guessing that I can delete the custom domain from my icloud and start over, but I'm afraid that will prevent me from using the custom domain ever again and can't get anyone to tell me that either. There is a chance that I unknowingly clicked the "use the custom domain with me only" and did not realize I had to click the option for "multiple' users and maybe that is the problem - but if it is - there's no way to change that now!!! Someone please help. Thanks.

Looks like no one cares about this post, including Apple support. I just wanted to update just for the few that might even look at this post. When Apple says that you can use a custom domain with iCloud mail, and that you can add multiple email addresses with that same domain name, that is NOT entirely true, at all. In fact it is very misleading. While you CAN add multiple email addresses to that custom domain, ALL of the emails will run through the primary apple account holder. After getting no help from a superior apple customer service rep, and only one reply on this message board, everyone's go to answer was "Forward the emails to your wife's address." I did that. She can get the emails to her custom domain email address through a forwarding process. HOWEVER - she cannot send emails FROM her custom domain email. There is not a way to do it, period. Apple fails to fully explain this and it has cost my wife and I a lot of time figuring that out....that it is impossible to have multiple custom domain email addresses that work fully both sending and receiving. What is the point of having a custom domain email address if you can NEVER send an email FROM that address??? Obviously I am extremely unhappy and disappointed in Apple. We are already paying for iCloud storage and so wanted to migrate all of our custom email over to them - but they've made it too difficult to work with - so we'll have to use another server.

I do apologize, I might have misread your question. I'll do my question to correct it and help you.

I have just digested your question and have a solution for you. Please delete the domain from your account and add it to your wife's account. It won't restrict your ability to re-add it to your account. This might solve most issues as the domain's mail will be automatically sent to your wife's iCloud Account.

I do apologize for my error as it is my first time here on the forum. Thanks for letting me know!

Edit - If you add it to your wife's iCloud, you wont be able to add it to your account for the time being, and you will need to reset the DNS, Mail, and such with the domain provider so it will be compatible with your Wife's account
