why is my account locked and how can I unlock it?

I'm attempting to download an app and I get an error message saying 'Your account has been disabled in the App Store and itunes.' but it doesn't tell me anything about how to unlock it or even why it was lock. I just need to know what to do now so I can use my devices.

There's a problem with your iTunes Store account information which can't be fixed from your end. Click here and contact Apple Support when they're open; if the link doesn't have an option for your country, use this form.
