Issues After Apple Watch Update 9.6.1

I have had issues with my watch after the update last week. If I move my wrist, I am automatically given the time or my heart rate. I can’t dismiss phone calls using my watch - the watch keeps stating “Dismiss” but it doesn’t end the call. It also takes several tries before my watch accepts my password. If I sleep with my watch on, I am awakened to the time being announced if I move slightly in my sleep. How can I fix this?

The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.
