All other functions work: Import, Data, burning.
It just refuses to play CDs with the Music-app, even showing them correctly.
With QuickTime i can play titles though.

I cannot personally test this right now, but the article Play CDs in Music on Mac - Apple Support suggests this should still be possible with Music in Ventura.

FWIW. My M2 MacBook Air and M1 iMac, bus-powered external USB player/burner for the former & powered external USB player/burner for the latter, both play CDs through Music.app just fine. Bothe 13.5.1 Ventura.
My 2020 MacBook Pro, running Ventura 13.5.1, using an external disc drive, just recently stopped playing CDs. This used to work, now it does not. The Music app is correctly showing the CD, but the play button is not functioning. System & apps are up to date.
First thing i looked at. It was all set like it should be.
My iMac under Monterey now does the same. No direct playing of Cds!
Wtf?
OK. Now i know it SHOULD work. But...why doesn't it in my configuration?
