MacOS v12.2.1
I am receiving an error code -50 when I have tried to trash a corrupted .wav file. I downloaded the file from my work server and after it wouldn't open I tried to trash it but keep getting error code -50
Its puzzling

Howdy, ewill007… I agree with you It is puzzling… haven’t seen that in eons.. here’s what it means/signifies: General Errors
paramErr = -50, /*error in user parameter list*/
that’s for Mac OS 10.X ( OS X) … using Activity Monitor, force quit the Finder, restart it and try to do it again and see what happens… or start up in Safe mode by rebooting while holding down the “Shift” key on your keyboard( you should see “safe mode” on your screen/monitor… then it should work OK… failing that, eg if it or the first thing I mentioned doesn’t work, then reset the smc/pmu followed by 3 continuous pram zaps on Startup, as per this link : https://www.macworld.com/article/224955/how-to-reset-a-macs-nvram-pram-and-smc.html should work… do you have an Intel Mac or one of those newfangled m1/m2 macs( Apple Silicon) ??? And go with what ku4hx posted/wrote, too

Which OS do you have? The title says 12.2.1 but your info shows 10.13
If you're running Monterey, I suggest you update it to version 12.6.8 to get the latest bug fixes and security benefits Monterey can supply.
