Apple gift card trouble

Purchased an Apple gift card from Walgreens never got the $ loaded on the card Apple tells me the card wasn't activated correctly Walgreens denied that they didn't properly activated the card. It has been 7 weeks now and I'm still not getting a resolution from Walgreens or Apple but Apple won't even help me period there is $500 on this **** card and I can't do anything with it

Hello, I understand your frustration as this has previously happened to me before. This is most likely the store's fault as they'd need to activate your gift card before using it on your device. I would advise contacting the store's manager and informing them about this issue. Furthermore, try contacting Apple again and letting them know that you're having trouble with a deactivated gift.

i work at one of these stores and this is the wrong advice to give customers. after a gift card has been purchased from a third party location, there is nothing else you can do from store level. we are taught upon hiring that gift card purchases are non-refundable and we tell the customer this upon purchasing. walgreens cannot do anything, it is in the hands of apple.
