Verify authenticity of a text message on iPhone from 2014

Hi guys, was wondering if someone can let me know what is the character limit per line in a text message that is being sent to an iPhone. I have an image of a text message printed on paper with no number or name. All it shows is the 2 speech bubble conversation, 1 in grey and 1 in green. The date that is on it shows "Today 14:06" between the 2 speech bubbles, however this message was supposedly been sent in 2104 and they are arguing the fact that the message was screen shot back then on the day and it was saved. I want to find out if this is a genuine message or if it has been fabricated. Is there anyway anyone can help me with this?

Maybe, but those factors can change depending on the users text size (could be changed in the settings). If the screenshot has bad quality then you could maybe tell it’s a bit older but I’m not sure if any way you’d be able to tell the exact year.

If the screenshot was taken in 2014, check the image’s metadata. It might be able to tell you something.

I have attached the image below, I only have a photo that has been emailed to me. I don't have the actual physical screen shot on the phone if that makes sense. I have cropped out the names from both speech bubbles. This message was meant to have been sent back in 2014. Can anyone notice anything suspicious that this message may have been created recently in an attempt to make it look like it was sent back in 2014.
