Being hacked
While on Facebook my husband got a message that he had been hacked. They, (looked like Apple) said to download an app called Lighthouse: Safe data recovery.
is this a safe thing to do?

You have not been hacked, it is a scam message designed to get you to purchase unnecessary software. it did not come from Apple.

SCAM that is trying to trick you into buying useless software or worse......providing personal information to the bad guys.
Apple will never send a message like this.
Do not open any links in the message. Delete the message.
