Google Chrome keeps installing apps onto my system, how do I prevent this?

FWIW, those are not apps. They appear to be Google Drive folder locations. They are not installed by Chrome.

Google wants to run your life in every way possible. That and the fact Chrome is a voracious memory hog is why I don't do Google anything.
