Google Chrome keeps installing apps onto my system, how do I prevent this?

These apps just keep appearing and I don't need them there or at all. Is there a way to prevent this? Everytime I uninstall them, they keep being installed again without any permission.

You might be able to prevent Google Chrome from installing apps such as Gmail and YouTube onto your system by following these steps:

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Click on the three dots in the top right corner of the window.
  3. Click on “Settings”.
  4. Scroll down to “Advanced” and click on it.
  5. Scroll down to “Privacy and security” and click on it.
  6. Click on “Site settings”.
  7. Click on “Automatic downloads”.
  8. Toggle off the switch next to “Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome”.
