Natural light does not work for portraits

In the last few days, I noticed that in the portrait mode of my phone(11pro) , the natural light option does not turn on, and as a result, the photo does not take a portrait. It is like a normal photo. Of course, it sometimes activates and stops working, once in a few days.please help

You may want to send feedback to Apple and report the problem.

Here is a form: Photos for iOS - Feedback - Apple

And for the time being take the Portrait photos in Studio Light mode, so they will be recorded with a depth map. You can change the mode later in Photos.

Which system version is running on your iPhone?

My iPhone 11 Pro Max is doing the same, all of a sudden. But only, when I want to take Portrait Mode photos of objects without a human face. Whenever I am getting a warning to move closer or further away, even when the distance is perfect, it will not turn on the Portrait Mode. For every second Portrait mode photo I am trying to take, I am just getting a normal photo. Before the last update I could take portrait mode photos of any object, for example a sculpture, no problem, as long as the distance has not been larger than 2.5 m or too close.
