No. No iPhone has ever had an ‘international warranty’. The warranty is valid in the country where the device was originally sold. It may be possible to have it serviced outside of the country of sale under some circumstances.
Historically, you will NOT be able to get an iphone purchased outside of India serviced in India.

Read it again. that does NOT apply to cellular devices.
From Apple's iOS warranty page for the U.S.
"IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE, iPAD, APPLE TV, HOMEPOD, AND APPLE VISION PRO SERVICE.
Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, HomePod, and Apple Vision Pro to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device."
Doesn't sound like an international warranty to me.

False
It's at the discretion of the people at the service center. They likely won't have international iPhone models on hand for replacements, and therefore aren't obligated to honor warranties or AppleCare plans from outside their own country(except when both are in the European Economic Area or Switzerland).

the answer is yes. i just called the apple support and the staff confirmed with me that the *warranty is covered internationally.*
it just, if it needs to be repaired or replaced, they will use the country set where you serviced the phone, not the origin country of your phone purchased.
usually, they won’t require a proof of purchase if there is a valid purchase date in the iphone and the apple id is yours. but it’s better to keep the original receipt or any proof of purchase.
Maybe this has changed recently but the information at the apple site shows that it will be covered.
under Obtaining Warranty Service section:
“If the product is portable, meaning that it can operate independently without a power cord, you may obtain warranty service worldwide. However, service will be limited to the options available in the country where service is requested. If the product is not portable, warranty service may be restricted to the country where the product is purchased.

Nope. You’re wrong. Either they misspoke or you misunderstood.
This is especially true in India.
In what country was the phone originally purchased?
Maybe you’re wrong? Did you read the information from the link? Maybe stores in India don’t follow policy? And unless Apple lawyers misspoke it is in the policy linked above. You don’t happen to work in a store in India refusing to honor Apple warranties, do you? ;)
