changing keyboard settings - removing keystroke sound

My volume keys make a clicking sound when pressed. I've been in settings --> sound --> sound effects + played with the options but I have not been able to eliminate the sound on my MacBook Pro, 2023. Ventura 13.2.1 Apple M2 Max. Whats the fix? Thanks.

On the MBP w/ Touchbar...


Is this true for both clicking and using the slider on the Touchbar...?


I do not know of a user setting to change this default behavior



How does the condensed Control strip respond vs the expanded Control Strip...(?)



Turn your Mac volume up or down


Change the sound output settings on Mac
