WhatsApp Freezes When Trying to Save Media from Group Chats on iPhone 13

I've been encountering a frustrating problem with WhatsApp on my iPhone 13 running iOS 16.6 for the past three weeks. Started suddenly. Whenever I attempt to save photos from group chats, the app freezes, rendering it unresponsive. This issue occurs when I click on a photo and press the Share icon; nothing happens, it freezes, and I'm forced to perform a shutdown of WhatsApp.

• This problem is exclusive to group chats; saving media from one-to-one chats works perfectly fine.
• Recently, I noticed that this issue now affects both photos and videos in group chats.
• As a workaround, I've discovered that I can long-press on the photo or video and select "Save," which successfully saves the media to my camera roll.
• I've already attempted to resolve the issue by reinstalling WhatsApp, but unfortunately, this did not resolve the problem.

I've reached out to WhatsApp support via email for assistance with this issue, but regrettably, they haven't provided any helpful advice or solutions.
