zoom not working on mac studio

Since you are using a Mac Studio, which has no built-in microphone, you'd need to add your own - maybe embedded in a webcam, or a screen like the Studio Display, or some other discrete microphone.

Please tell us more about your setup, also including which version of macOS and of Zoom.

It has a speaker but it doesn’t have a microphone.

If you have some headphones with microphone like those used with older iPhones, those will work.

If you have a recent iPhone you may be able to use it as your camera and microphone.

You may also use a usb microphone, or a microphone with a 3.5mm jack, but beware that most of those may require a little adapter.

So what brand/kind of display are you using? For example the Studio Display has both a camera and a mic built in. Launch System Settings->Sound->Input and see if anything shows up.
