On the lines of “Life360” has used your location 10 times in the past 2 days: dont allow, always allow, allow while using

My family uses the app Life360 to track each other and make sure we are safe but my grandmas iPhones 13 in particular notifies her all the time that it uses her location. Is there a way to disable alerts? She keeps turning location back off for the app we just cant seem to get her to understand that its so we all know shes safe

When you select Settings : Privacy & Security : Location Services, find the Life360 entry and for allow location access, set it to While using the App. And you may want to switch on Precise location. Your grandmother should have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled in her settings to get the most out of Location services.

Also, under Location services, you may optionally want your grandmother's phone to have the setting Use this phone as my location enabled and share my location too.

Then, under Settings : Notifications : Life360, you can disable Notifications, or it Notifications are enabled, you can customize the Notification view shown without sounds or badges to keep the clutter reduced.

Setting Location Services for Life360 to “only when using the app” defeats the purpose of Life360. We need to have Location services always on for Life360 and stop the constant prompting asking to turn it off.

Or remove the third-party tracking app (which was reportedly selling your metadata), and use the built-in Find My.

No.

Find My is the usual approach, and that’s silent once opted in.
