I am having many problems with my iPad. Gave up trying to install 16.6 iPadOS update. For days the iPad displayed install now with a spinning circle. Now it does not recognize my iPhone passcode. I know that I am entering the correct passcode.

Some additional information may be required. It is the case that your iPad and iPhone may have different passcodes. If you forgot the passcode to your iPad see If you forgot your iPad passcode.
If ou are still trying to update your iPad, see if you can find a resolution here If your iPhone or iPad won't update. Alternatively, you can try to update your iPad with a computer by following the steps in Update iPadOS.
