Troubleshooting iPhone Storage:

• How to Clear "Other" in your iPhone's Storage - Use Backup - User Tip. Caches would be being used for remembrance of application use. It is essentially the same for an iPhone. You'd backup your iPhone, and then restore your iPhone from the backup you've just created. All System Data will delete.

Clear the Caches:

Your password takes no role in upgrading your internal storage, as upgrading it is

just not an option. So, for starters, see if you need to clear lots of caches. in older iOS versions, it was called “Other”. In much more recent versions, it is called “System Data”. Here is my user tip: How to Clear "Other" in your iPhone's Storage - Use Backup - User Tip.
