Unresponsive invisible line on screen (Ipad Pro 12.9-inch 3rd gen)

For the past like 2 or so weeks there has been a seemingly invsible line going over my screen which is entirely unresponsive to touch.

It just appeared overnight, ipad was fine, charged it overnight, wake up, BOOM, theres a line on my screen.

It's not bent, theres no cracks on the screen, I didn't drop it, hit it, spill stuff on it, etc.

The line looks like this:

I have absolutely no idea why this happened & generally I can still work on the ipad, nothing else is broken, but the line is really starting to bother me.

I've restarted, I've force-restarted, I've tried just about everything. I thought it might've been because I didn't update my ipad from iPadOS 15 to iPadOS 16, so I did that too, and that didn't fix it either.

The line also goes over my keyboard, so the letters "v" "t" and "r" tend to double &/or even randomly appear sometimes.

Has anyone else had this problem, and if yes, what fixed it?

If some areas of the iPad screen do not accept input from your Pencil or your finger, the screen almost certainly has a hardware fault requiring repair. Until your iPad is professionally assessed and tested by a qualified technician, using appropriate test software, you'll not have a definitive diagnosis.

An Apple AASP may be much closer than your nearest Apple Store.

Clearly the Apple Pencil has successfully paired with the iPad. Inconsistent drawing will either be due to a problem with the Pencil itself, or its interaction with the iPad screen.

Be aware that if your iPad screen has ever been replaced by anyone other than Apple, the screen will not be properly calibrated; this situation is known to cause issues with the Pencil. Otherwise, issues where a band appears unresponsive to Pencil input often indicates a screen hardware fault that requires repair.

You would be best advised to visit the technicians at the Genius Bar of your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where iPad and Pencil can be tested and assessed. If your iPad requires repair, you'll be in the best possible place to explore your available options:

Its definitely not a problem with the pencil, since the line wont accept touch from my fingers either.

Is there anything else I could try besides visiting an apple store? I'm like,,, really poor & got this iPad as a gift from someone, I don't think I could drive over an hour just to be told I need to pay 500€ or get a new iPad, so Apple Store would really just be the last option for me lol
