file copying

Files do not open when copying them from one folder to another. At the same time, everything works in the source folder. How to solve the problem ?

Importing Issue in Final Cut Pro While I'm running Final Cut, I save my project file to my desktop, and the "Copy to Library" option keeps activating the videos on the desktop, but the "Import" option doesn't activate; it just becomes inactive. I've tried everything, but I can't fix the problem. "Copy to Library" is always active, but "Leave files in place" is disabled, so I can't open it at all. Wheel of death when importing files into Final Cut Pro Every time I try to import files into Final Cut Pro, I get a wheel of death and have to shut down the program. Unable to import files into FCPX Hi All, I'm trying to import several large files I created using Record It Pro. The files range from 1gb to 7.5gb.. It gets to 50% and stalls. Any suggestions mush appreciated. Thanks, Geoff

Copying is just that… and has nothing to do with opening the file once it reaches its destination. There is no setting in the Finder to do that. You would use your preferred means to open the file at its destination, just as you would in its source location.

What type of files? Which applications would open these files?

And where is the folder you are copying to? In some external drive, perhaps?
