I am trying to pay for an installment early. I followed the instructions as per Apple [Card-Monthly Installments-Pay early] but all it did was deduct the extra payment which was for an installment from my general amount on the credit card. The installment amount and payoff date are still the same. How can I specifically pay down or off an installment?
The primary goal of an interest free installment plan is to insure you pay no interest. Any additional payments are not paid on the installment plan, until your state balance is paid in full. Once paid in full, extra will be credited to the oldest installment plan.
