Sleep app a day behind

Love my new Apple Watch Series 8, using with iPhone 14 Pro Max. In Sleep app it does show my sleep with details but I think it’s one day behind. It shows the right date, and I’ve been wondering about it, but it was very obvious this morning when I woke up at 6am and it showed I woke up at 9am (which we hadn’t even reached yet but I had gotten up at that time yesterday). How can I fix that?

And is the date shown on Sleep screen the date I started the sleep or the date I ended the sleep? I’m guessing the start of sleep but want to make sure that’s not part of the problem.

Today is 9/1, last sleep data showing on Health app is dated 8/31 and it starts with the time I went to bed 8/30, ends with the time I woke up yesterday, around 9a. Like it’s taking a day to post the right info. If anyone can help I’d appreciate your insights.

Hello _lily_ponder56_,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities. We understand that the Sleep app is displaying your data a day later. We'd like to provide you with a few steps that may be able to help correct this behavior:

1. Restart your devices. This may seem like a simple steps but it refreshes the hardware and the software.

Restart your iPhone

Restart Apple Watch

2. Update to the latest software version. Completing this step ensures that your devices have the latest fixes.

Update iOS on iPhone

Update your Apple Watch

Best wishes.
