Can I use the same HDMI cable from my Apple TV 3rd gen for the new Apple TV 4K?

Yes. Most HDMI cables should work fine.

Though if its not a high quality and bandwidth cable some features like HDR10+ or Dolby Vision may not be available assuming the connected TV supports them.
