How can I stop Dictation on my iPhone 14?

I just cured this problem. Go to settings>accessibility>voice control and turn off. THEN make sure that the huge mic on the lower right under the keyboard under "return" is not tapped while you are typing. If you hit it by mistake, it will have a grey circle around the mic - this is when the recording starts and everything in earshot is recorded into your message. Tap it to remove the grey circle. Unfortunately it is super easy to mistakenly hit and then you have a super long message going on and on while you are chatting to someone else. I tested this a few times. You can also, hit the mic and produce the grey circle and dictate...then hit it again to stop dictation. Hope this helps.

Tell Siri to turn voice control off and then make sure under settings/general/keyboard/enable dictation that button is off

After umpteen attempts finally I cracked it. Accessibility than voice control. Turn the **** things off and you be in control.

Go to settings>accessibility>voice control and turn it off.

I tried all else people recommended with no success, then had to go through everything in settings and this finally worked!!

Its not dictation. You go into General - accessibility and turn off voice control. And/or Spoken Content - Speak Selection

Looks like Voice Control is On.

Go to -> Settings -> Accessibility -> Speak Auto-Text -> Off.

That didn’t help. My issue is that it types out when I am recording a voice message. Like to another iPhone user. I still want to be able to send the voice message, but not for it to be typed out on the screen also bc then it takes forever to send.

My iPhone 12 keeps recording through the microphone, even though I’m done speaking. If I push the microphone icon, it does go off, but it continues to type whatever noises are around including voices on the TV.

I’ve tried this too and it doesn’t work. My iMessage’s are still typed out for voice messages. It takes them forever to send too!

How to turn off the voice that repeats everything I type on my iPhone 14?

My iPhone 14 has a voice coming on every time I send a message typed the message. The voice repeats when I’m typing and I cannot figure out how to remove that voice. Can you help?
