GRAYED OUT MUSIC THAT I BOUGHT ON CD

This is getting very irritating. I have several dozen cds that I downloaded in my iTunes. Now they are all grayed out and not available. WTF.

Hi ,

Let's see how we can help you with getting your music back so you can enjoy listening again.

Usually when songs are grayed out it's because the Music library can't locate the file. Take a look at this link for help with getting the songs synced back to your iPhone again.

If you are still unable to listen to the songs, let us know what message you see when you try to play one of them.

Take care!

Hi Appleisstartingtobecomeajoke,

Songs uploaded from CDs would need to be present on a computer using your account and playable on said device. To clarify, are you able to play these tracks on the computer they were loaded to? It may be necessary to complete these steps from the previously mentioned article to update your library for those songs:

"Search for the missing song on your computer

  1. Search your Mac or PC for the missing song.
  2. If you find the missing song, drag the song to the Apple Music app or iTunes.
  3. In the Apple Music app or iTunes, choose File > Library > Update Cloud Library."

Once the songs are properly loaded or identified and playable on the computer, use the Update Cloud Library to sync those changes to your other devices.

Regards.

It did for a few of the ones I downloaded from Apple Music, but there are several I uploaded from discs I bought that are saying they are not available or just grayed out completely without any reason. I updated both library and genius. I'm looking at other music streaming services and/or storage now since I can't really rely on Apple Music for preserving the lists I want and especially the ones that I bought.
