Hi ilandgurl10,
The precise nature of the problem you're facing is unclear. You've indicated both that you cannot input your password, and also that it does not respond when you input your password.
If you are able to type your password, can you then press the return key on your keyboard to submit that? If not, is there a "Sign In" option on the screen you can tap?
If you are experiencing some other issue such as an error message, a pending status or the like such as described in the support article If you can’t turn on or sign in to iMessage or FaceTime that information may be helpful for future replies. If you cannot access the fields for entry of the password, check that you do not have restrictions enabled in Screen Time preventing these services.
Regards.
Hey there ilandgurl10,
As you mentioned there's an error message showing when attempting to sign into iMessage and FaceTime, the article shared earlier has the next steps to take for resolving this: If you can’t turn on or sign in to iMessage or FaceTime
If the issue remains after trying all of the steps listed in the article, then the next one would be to let Apple Support know what's been tried as they'll be in the best position to assist further: Get Support
Cheers!
I have restarted several times! FaceTime and iMessage will not respond when I put my password in
When I put my password in it gives me an error message
when I shut down my iPad and open again, then I try FaceTime and same thing happens
I also reset my iPad but it didn’t make a difference
very frustrating
