External Hard Drive in good condition does not shoy in new macbook air mm2 (Ventura)

I just bought (Sept'23) a macbook air m2 and when I connect the external hard drive on which I have the Time Machine backup of my previous computer, it does not recognize it: the hard drive does not appear on the desktop nor in Finder. I have Finder configured to show External Hard Drives logically. External Disk does not show up in Disk Utility neither. I assume that the external hard drive is in good condition because both my previous MacBook Air (2011) and my desktop iMac (27", ending 2013) see it without problems. New MacBook Air M2 is updated with Ventura 13.5.1. External Hard Drive is a 3TB G-Drive with Thunderbolt. What can it be? Has anyone had the same problem?
